Top-mounted main unit: This solution uses a specially designed and manufactured flat-plate main unit, which can be placed between the top car of the hoistway and the wall of the hoistway, and the control cabinet is integrated with the top floor door. Its main advantage is that the main engine and speed limiter are the same as those of the elevator with machine room, and the control cabinet is easy to debug and maintain; its main disadvantage is that the rated load, rated speed and maximum lifting height of the elevator are restricted by the external dimensions of the main engine. The operation of the car is complicated and difficult.
2. Bottom-mounted main engine: This scheme is to place the main engine in the pit, and hang the control cabinet between the car and the wall of the shaft in the pit. Its biggest advantage is that increasing the elevator's rated load, rated speed and maximum lifting height is not limited by the external dimensions of the main engine, and the emergency cranking operation is convenient and easy; its main disadvantage is that the main engine and the speed limiter are different from ordinary elevators due to the stress conditions , So we must improve the design.
3. The host is placed on the car: This scheme places the host on the top of the car and the control cabinet on the side of the car. This arrangement has a larger number of accompanying cables.
4. The host and control cabinet are placed in the opening space on the side wall of the hoistway: this scheme is to place the host and control cabinet in the reserved opening on the side wall of the hoistway on the top floor. Its biggest advantage is that it can increase the elevator's rated load, rated speed and maximum lifting height. It can be equipped with the main engine and speed limiter used in ordinary elevators.
